I wrote a book called Old Green World and I’m writing another one. I’ve recently written for The Gay and Lesbian Review.
I graduated from the University of Texas in 2004 with a Ph.D. in English. My master’s thesis focused on queer writers associated with the West Coast “New Narrative” movement, while my dissertation explored the narrative structures of popular story universes from DC Comics to Star Wars.

I started developing software when I was in grad school, and I’m a software developer today. It pays the bills. I live in Austin with my husband Mike, who plays the cello.
